Asymmetry, a registered charity that runs fellowships, scholarships and a public programme with museums and universities, has launched its first Assistant Curator Fellowship with Nottingham Contemporary, a major contemporary art centre that opened in 2009. The fellowship is conceived as a pathway into curatorial practice in a British public institution.

A two-year fellowship (6 April 2027 – 5 April 2029) embedded in Nottingham Contemporary's curatorial team — exhibitions, commissions, live programmes, research and writing — with room to develop independent projects and new strands of the live programme. Annual salary of £27,556 plus pension and National Insurance, UK leave, visa and legal fee assistance where required, and a travel and relocation allowance. The fellow joins Asymmetry's network of fellows and partner institutions such as Tate Modern, Chisenhale Gallery, SculptureCenter, the Courtauld and Goldsmiths.

A global open call for an early-career curator geared towards a practitioner who, to any extent, identifies with Chinese or Sinophone cultures or backgrounds. Candidates should have 1–3 years of curatorial experience, a degree in art history, cultural studies or a related field (or equivalent experience), experience working with living artists, and excellent spoken and written English; a second language is preferred. All application materials must be submitted in English.
