Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park (滋賀県立陶芸の森)
For guest artists: travel support, up to ¥100,000 for raw materials and up to ¥110,000 for firing covered by the park, an honorarium of ¥200,000 including tax, technical support from staff, and a final presentation or open studio by arrangement. For studio artists: a studio, staff support and a presentation as appropriate. Former residents may return through the same annual call.

People seriously committed to ceramics, with basic knowledge and experience, as a rule aged 20 or over at the time of application. Guest artists additionally need a clear reason for choosing Shigaraki specifically and the capacity to have a positive effect on those around them: the studio artists in residence at the same time, local potters and the ceramics industry. Neither track restricts country or region.
