Creative Industries Fund NL
Built on the Surinamese notion of alakondre ('all countries'), living together in cultural diversity, this Creative Industries Fund NL residency invites research by design into connectivity, diversity and collectivity in Suriname, with awareness of colonial history and the maker's own position. Exchange with local makers is reciprocal and may lead to joint work or public talks.

One residency, 1 September – 1 December 2027, moving between three sites — urban Paramaribo (Zus&Zo, with Bryan van 't Kruys), Moengo (Tembe Art Studio, founded by artist Marcel Pinas) and the plantation village of Frederiksdorp (with Sirano Zalman) — with a local maker working alongside at each location. A €8,500 grant covers travel, insurance, living costs, time and materials; accommodation, workspace and facilitation are paid by the Fund directly. Starts with an orientation week in Paramaribo.

For an individual designer, architect or spatial practitioner working in design, architecture or digital culture, established in the Kingdom of the Netherlands (the Netherlands, Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, Sint Eustatius or Sint Maarten), registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce or another business register in the Kingdom, with at least four years of professional practice in the creative industries. Not for duos, collectives or cooperative ventures, nor for makers holding a Talent Development, Self-taught Designer or Emerging Design Practices grant from the Fund during the work period.
