Wonderwood is a forest property in rural Hsinchu that is part residency, part experimental cultural space and part immersive narrative environment. Work happens across shared indoor and outdoor spaces — a glass music room in the woods, gardens, workshop zones, quiet writing corners and installations that residents keep reshaping — rather than in conventional studios. Life is communal and hands-on: people contribute through cooking, organising, gardening, building and storytelling as much as through their own practice. Stays run one to three months in private or shared rooms, and the structure is negotiated per project, from a straightforward residency to work exchange or a long-term role in the place.

Open to artists, designers, writers, game and LARP designers, installation and environmental artists, organisers and permaculture practitioners who want to help shape a shared world rather than work in isolation. The project looks for initiative, adaptability and a collaborative disposition; involvement ranges from a residency to work exchange, project development or longer-term stewardship.
