Wild Rose Farm is a working eco-friendly farm that opens its land to artists for short retreats. Studio space is shared, and the outbuildings — a large barn, a greenhouse, a covered exterior porch — are available as workspaces depending on what the project needs. Found materials are on hand: things from the land, and metal and parts from vintage farm equipment. An in-house creative coach and dramaturge is available at set times to all residents, including dramaturgical support for performance work. Sharing work with the local community is optional; the farm has hosted exhibitions and concerts and collaborates with local arts organisations. Limited wifi and restricted phone use keep the attention where the farm wants it.
