Artists and nonprofit organizations that cannot apply directly to the city and state agencies behind the programme, running sequential participatory arts learning for older adults in Manhattan between 1 January and 31 December 2027. The programme must draw on arts education practice, pay a fee to teaching artists, have at least one confirmed lead teaching artist, take place in a community setting such as a senior centre, recreation centre, public library or community centre in Manhattan, include at least three sequential contact sessions between the same teaching artists and group, and end in a public event such as an exhibit, performance or presentation in Manhattan. Individuals must be 18 or over, not in a full-time degree programme, and have proof of Manhattan address. Self-paced or individually experienced programmes are not eligible.
