Six fellows each receive $20,000 ($10,000 unrestricted plus $10,000 for project development), mentorship, community-building and an invitation to an annual retreat. One fellowship is reserved for an artist aged 18 to 24.

Individual artists aged 18 or older who are directly impacted by incarceration (U.S. prisons, jails or detention centres), based in the United States; no formal training required; applicants detained in migrant detention centres must have obtained U.S. citizenship by the time the application opened; organisations and non-profits are not eligible.
