The winner receives a $1,000 advance, publication of the collection by Persea Books (spring 2028) and the option of an all-expenses-paid residency at the Civitella Ranieri Center, a fifteenth-century castle in Umbertide, Italy. Chosen by an anonymous panel of judges; announced in January.

Open to self-identified women and nonbinary people identifying with girlhood or womanhood who have not yet published a full-length book of poems. Entrants must be US citizens and/or permanently living in the United States (American citizens abroad are eligible). Anonymous manuscript of at least 48 pages, primarily in English; simultaneous submissions accepted. Fee waivers on request for those in financial hardship.
