Project & Presentation Grants of $7,500 for ongoing or new projects that embrace unconventional or D.I.Y. values and are shown beyond commercial galleries, museums or established non-profit spaces. Research Grants of $5,000, of which at least $3,500 is set aside as the artist's compensation for research time and $1,500 pays collaborators and research expenses; grantees give a 15-minute presentation in fall 2027. Funded by the Andy Warhol Foundation Regional Regranting Program and managed by the Washington Project for the Arts.

Artists living in the greater Washington area (DC, Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Montgomery or Prince George's counties) with a history of presenting in visual-arts contexts or venues; collectives apply through a lead applicant. Choose either a Project & Presentation Grant or a Research Grant, not both. Not eligible: full-time undergraduate or graduate students, 501(c)(3) organisations and for-profit organisations. Project grants need a public presentation in the DC area or virtually during the 2027 grant period.
