Eyebeam, founded in 1998 in New York, is a non-profit that has supported over 550 artists working with technology through residencies, fellowships and public programmes. Applications are scored by an external jury of staff, industry professionals and alumni with a standard rubric.

A 12-week online residency for six US artists on the year's theme AGENCY — how human, collective and more-than-human agency holds up as AI systems act and decide on our behalf. Each resident receives a $2,000 stipend, weekly cohort sessions, mentorship with Eyebeam alumni and visiting professionals, technical consultation, a closing virtual presentation and a contribution to an end-of-year publication. Commitment: 3–4 hours a week. Suited to projects at an early stage that benefit from shared research, discussion and feedback for concept development and prototyping.

Individual artists based in the United States outside New York City who remain US-based for the full term. Collectives and teams are not eligible this cycle; no full-time degree students (part-time students welcome); no concurrent residency. Projects may engage AI directly but do not have to.
