The city of Junín's culture department holds the 21st edition of its national visual arts salon, an open competition meant to support artists from all over Argentina and grow the art collection of Junín and its region. Prize-winning works enter the city's collection.

Argentine artists and foreign artists aged 18 or over who have lived in Argentina for at least two years before the call. Past prize winners may enter again three years after their award.
