The second year of NYSCA's State of the Arts Fellowship, which embeds artists in state agencies to address solve-for questions at the core of each agency's public service mission. This is separate from NYSCA's FY2027 Support for Artists grants.

Award of $60,000 per artist fellow, inclusive of all project expenses, for a year-long placement with research (February–August 2027) and implementation (August 2027 – February 2028) phases.

New York State artists from all disciplines. One artist fellow is placed at each of four host agencies: NYS Canal Corporation, Division of Human Rights, Homes & Community Renewal (SONYMA), and Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (Willowbrook). Fellows are chosen by the host agency and NYSCA.
