A single-project grant for a defined project in visual art and media art in Vienna in 2027 (artists, up to €10,000), or an annual-activity grant for organisations. The guideline, valid from 1 October 2026, requires a high artistic quality and clearly presented concepts. The city's visual art department decides after review by external expert advisory boards. Costs are accounted for after the project.

Natural persons aged 18 or over with their main residence in Vienna, sole traders and legal entities based in Vienna (associations, foundations, companies). Applicants must have completed relevant studies or work professionally as artists. Students, including doctoral students, are not eligible. Individuals may apply only for single projects up to €10,000. Not funded: projects of people still in education or within a university degree, artistic-research projects, stays abroad (travel costs, residencies) and projects abroad, production without a public presentation, creative industry projects (craft, design, art trade), projects for commercial galleries or fairs, art in public space (handled by KÖR Wien), single projects for children and young people, educational and therapeutic projects, and projects already completed. A project can only be funded if it could not be carried out without the grant.
