The Aral School, an initiative of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, is an interdisciplinary programme in Nukus for the ecological, social and cultural regeneration of the Aral Sea region.

A full-time six-month programme in Nukus (January–June 2027) on the theme Climate and Landscape, led by programme director Joseph Grima: no tuition fees, a monthly stipend covering most living expenses, shared accommodation for participants from outside Nukus, prototyping and material costs, research and field trips, one-to-one contact with international experts, publication of the cohort's outcomes and a certificate from ACDF.

Young professionals from Uzbekistan and abroad with backgrounds in architecture, urbanism, environmental science, biotech, climate studies, filmmaking, media, crafts, design, computer technologies, social studies, physical sciences and other fields. A higher education diploma (any field) and 2–3 years of work experience are recommended/required; fluent English is essential. Full-time, on-site in Nukus (no online participation); combining with other work or study is strongly discouraged.
