Up to ¥3,600,000 per person for 12 months (up to ¥7,200,000 for conservation training), paid in four instalments before each period. About 20 grantees. Grantees may not receive other grants for the same travel or housing costs during the training; the visa is the grantee's own responsibility.

People working in painting, sculpture, crafts and similar creation, or in exhibition curating, conservation and art education, who are 20 to 39 on 1 April 2027 and hold Japanese nationality or Japanese permanent residency. A training supervisor abroad must guarantee acceptance; training lasts 6 months to a year (conservation up to 2 years) without a full-time job; adequate language ability and health; no earlier grant from this scheme. Individual applications only, no teams.
