Funding to create and/or record original literary work for performance — spoken word, storytelling, sound poetry, dub poetry and American Sign Language (ASL) literature: CA$5,000 for creation, up to CA$10,000 for recording, up to CA$15,000 for creation and recording. Covers artist fees for the writer’s time, research (including travel), studio time, fees for supporting artists and recording professionals, up to 1,000 physical copies, digital distribution set-up and publicity, childcare and accessibility.

Ontario residents with a recent professional history of public performance in dub, sound or performance poetry, storytelling, ASL poetry or other performance literature forms; writers eligible for Works for Publication may also apply with an eligible project. Student or academic publications and work done as part of employment do not establish eligibility (with stated exceptions).
