Individual writers aged 18 or over who are full-time residents of the nine states in South Arts' region — Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee — and will remain so for the duration of the award. You cannot be enrolled in a degree-granting programme. You must be in the research or creation stage of an original literary work and its sole author.
