Nexus is a grant of the City of Austin's Arts, Culture, Music and Entertainment office (ACME), developed with community input during the 2019–2022 Cultural Funding Review and launched in 2023, supporting emerging and established artists and arts groups with a focus on historically under-represented communities. It accepts applications twice a year.

Awards of $5,000 or $10,000, based on score, for 12-month grant agreements supporting public projects and activities for Austin's diverse communities. For grants over $10,000 some equipment costs may be eligible; awardee travel is not. In June 2026 the spring round supported 76 individual artists and arts groups with $505,000.

Individual artists and arts groups (including State of Texas designated arts nonprofits, but not 501(c) nonprofit organisations), directly or through a fiscal sponsor, with an annual operating budget of at most $150,000, a mission rooted in producing arts and culture, and at least one year of creative production history in Austin. Applicants must be headquartered in the Austin MSA and produce public events or activities in Austin Council Districts or the ETJ, open and advertised to residents and visitors. City of Austin employees are not eligible.
