VisArts is a nonprofit arts centre in Rockville, Maryland, founded in 1987. Its exhibition programme presents emerging and mid-career artists across a broad range of contemporary practices; proposals may be ambitious, experimental and interdisciplinary.

Selected artists present a solo exhibition in 2027 in one of three galleries at VisArts: Gibbs Street Gallery (about 1,100 sq ft, 16-foot ceilings, street level), Common Ground Gallery (about 300 sq ft) or Concourse Gallery (about 500 sq ft).

Artists working in all media; international, national and local artists are welcome to apply for all three spaces. Artists who have presented a solo exhibition at VisArts within the past three years are not eligible.
