SU-CASA is a New York City creative aging residency program across the five boroughs (organisations apply through the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs); the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC) administers the Manhattan placements for individual artists.

About 30 residencies placing Manhattan artists at senior centers from March to 30 June 2027 for arts-based, process-oriented activities with older adults, culminating in a public program for the surrounding community. Each artist receives a $6,000 stipend, a $2,000 materials and supplies budget and access to Materials for the Arts; artists collaborate with their center to recruit participants and schedule sessions. Applicant labs, office hours and an ASL-interpreted info session are offered.

Individual artists or collectives of up to two people with proof of residency or permanent workspace in Manhattan, aged 18 or older, not enrolled full-time in a degree programme, not applying on behalf of an organisation or for SU-CASA in another borough the same year; artists sensitive to the needs of older adults. LMCC allows generative AI tools in preparing applications.
