Paid by bank transfer within a month of the decision. Travel to the presentation and award ceremony is at the artist's cost (online attendance possible).

Individuals or groups of any nationality, professional or amateur, who live in Japan (resident certificate) and are based there, aged 18–35 on 2 September 2026 (for a group, the representative); one entry per person. Original unpublished work in film, art (contemporary art, media art, photography, sculpture, performance) or theatre that receives no other subsidy or grant. Foreign applicants submit a certificate showing residence status and period. Companies and profit-oriented bodies are excluded.
