La Nueva Fábrica
La Nueva Fábrica is a nonprofit contemporary art space in a former textile factory in Antigua, Guatemala. Its residency, running since 2013, is the heart of the programme: a research-driven stay open to all mediums, encouraging exchange with the local context through public programmes, open studios and community events.

Five residents are selected. Each receives a US$2,000 stipend, housing in a fully equipped house on site at LNF (kitchen, living room, garden), airport transfers from and to La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City, and curatorial and logistical support, with opportunities to engage the public through LNF's programmes. The residency is research-based: there is no requirement to produce a final work. National and international travel to LNF is the resident's responsibility.

Open to individuals aged 18+ of any nationality — emerging and established artists, curators and cultural practitioners, in all mediums and at all career stages; no degree or formal training required. Duos may apply together and applicants with children are welcome. The residency and research proposal must hold a direct or meaningful connection to LNF's context, with a clear methodology that is feasible within the residency. Applications in English or Spanish; basic Spanish is helpful but not required.
