Writers work on their own projects and take part in joint literary events, which is what separates this from a quiet room: the programme is built as an exchange across Central European literary scenes. Two editions run in 2027: a compact spring one from 1 May to 12 June with a €1,300 stipend, and a regular autumn one from 1 September to 30 November with €2,600.

For writers of fiction and non-fiction, poets, essayists, critics, literary translators, publicists and journalists from the V4 countries — Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. Applications go through the fund's My Visegrad system with an ID or passport copy and a description of the literary project, all in English.
