Villa Salammbô is the Institut français de Tunisie's international research and creation residency, now based in Sousse, for artists from France, North Africa and Franco-Tunisian duos.

A one-month stay in the independent Villa Juliette in central Sousse (two bedrooms, kitchen, garden; not adapted for reduced mobility); a living allowance of €1,000 per month for individual projects or €1,600 for duos (€800 per artist) — not a production grant; travel from the place of residence up to €350 per laureate; artistic support and networking with Tunisian artists and professionals; an 'Interludes' public sharing at the end of the residency.

Professional artists (no age limit), researchers, thinkers and curators with a research project linked to Tunisia: artists residing in France; artists residing in North Africa outside Tunisia; and artists residing in Tunisia who apply as a duo with an artist from or residing in France (Franco-Tunisian project). Applicants must speak French and English or Arabic, show previous artistic projects, be able to travel and live independently, and be free of professional obligations for the whole stay. Disciplines: visual arts (painting, photography, digital and video art, sculpture, design, crafts, architecture), performing arts (dance, theatre, music, puppetry, circus), film and documentary, literature (incl. comics and children's books).
