Five choreographers each receive a $1,000 choreographic fee, paid dancers ($18 per rehearsal hour plus a $300 stipend for tech, dress and performances), up to 35 hours of free rehearsal space, three professional-development sessions, one-on-one dramaturgical mentorship, a work-in-progress showing, production and marketing support, and two fully produced world-premiere performances on the LaGuardia Performing Arts Center mainstage (26–27 April 2027) with professional photos and video. Choreographers must be 18 or older, reside in one of New York City's five boroughs, and be available for all mandatory program dates from November 2026 through April 2027. Applicants may not be enrolled full-time in a college, degree-granting program or professional intensive during the program. All dance forms and styles are welcome; selection is based on the proposed idea, not on finished work.
